We've discovered to noone's surprise that its difficult to get people organised in San Francisco. This is because the people here are all constantly stoned, eating raw food or entombed in the underground BART systems going under hills for ever and ever.

Dave and Al came in last night with guns blazing from Chicago. Al's getting lights and equipment for tonight's shoot in 'million fishes' gallery. Dave's looking for a drum.

Thomas, Dave and Andrew set off early yesterday on a little adventure in the woods. Dave wore his bearskin, Thomas skinned a boar, and Andrew wore his bare skin.

We shot some trees, they were very uncooperative, just standing there, being all inanimate and redwoody. Big deal, thousands of years old, huge and imposing wooden trees. Last night was my first day shooting and it felt great to turn on the camera and point it at funny looking people doing strange things in the night.

We started with a round table discussion about what the hell are we doing with no concrete solution but lots and lots of ideas drawn on big pieces of cardboard. So it turned out exactly as we would have hoped.

Good tidings from Ireland. I hope i haven't missed all the fun already! I can't wait to shoot this movie, the rehearsals look mad altogether. I'm practicing my dance moves and I'm ready to break out the secret stash of jiggy wiggy if needs be.
